Our Quartets
The Martellos (previously Acafellas), who have taken their name from the prominent landmark towers of Kingston, have been entertaining audiences in the area for the past three years. Members are Dave Gilmore (Tenor), Frank Pinch (Lead), Ken Hancock (Bass) and Dave Fewtrell (Baritone), all experienced barbershoppers who love that unique, a cappella four-part harmony sound.
The Men Of Note are the Townsmen's latest quartet. Formed in mid-2009, this lively group has already started to entertain audiences around the Kingston and surrounding areas, and has regularly appeared alongside the Townsmen in it's various performances across the city (Such as the 2010 Taste of Kingston Food Festival, and Choral Thursdays). Members include Steve Harris (Tenor), John Biersteker (Lead), Ian Hearn (Baritone), and Vernon Simkins (Bass), who are united by their passion for four-part A Capella harmony.
